Abdullah Jauhar
Profile
Education:
BS Biology, Lahore University of Management Sciences, 2022
Research Interest:
Using quantitative proteomics to define protein-level regulatory networks governing T cell lineage commitment
Biosktech:
Abdullah completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 2022. His undergraduate research in the Tariq Lab focused on how Polycomb and Trithorax group proteins maintain cell fate in Drosophila. In the Rothenberg Lab, Abdullah investigates how protein abundance shapes lineage commitment and cellular identity during T cell development, particularly in the context of differences between transcriptomic and proteomic data. He is also studying the role of the transcription factor Hhex in regulating T cell development. Outside the lab, Abdullah enjoys reading about the history of science and eating banana-flavored desserts.
