Biosketch: Boyoung's research interests focus on the mechanisms by which transcriptional and epigenetic programs regulate cell fate decisions in T cell development and function. A major concentration of her current research is on how Runx transcription factors establish the T lineage identity in early thymic T cell development. To this end, she is investigating 1) how Runx factors choose their functional sites on the genome, and 2) how they control gene regulatory networks.
